LATEST NEWS

The interRAI Coordinating Centre Australia operates from the Centre for Research in Geriatric Medicine at The University of Queensland and provides information and resources in relation to interRAI instruments, for organisations using or considering their use in Australia.

The interRAI Coordinating Centre New Zealand is under development. Currently, information and resources in relation to interRAI instruments, for organisations using or considering their use in New Zealand, or specific information relating to national interRAI District Health Board Implementation is managed via olderpeople@moh.govt.nz or directly via Dr Nigel Millar interRAI Fellow based at Canterbury District Health Board.

interRAI is an international collaborative of scientists and clinicians that aspires to improve the quality and efficiency of care delivery in services to older and disabled persons. interRAI was established in 1992. Currently, almost 50 researchers and clinicians from over 20 nations constitute interRAI. Australian involvement commenced in 2001 and New Zealand in 2002.

The interRAI methodology provides a procedure for enhancing clinical care that utilises standardised clinical protocols and data collection in aged care and associated services. Comprehensive information about interRAI can be found at the international interRAI website.
